accelerator has little effect

2007 Camry hybrid automatic 165K was not driven for several weeks during a very hot summer. The ABS module had thrown codes prior to that so I replaced the ABS module after some weeks of delay.  Began to get p080 EV battery codes and weeks later began to notice accelerator behavior was not right. Forced to stop driving. My scanner showed the throttle not moving while the accelerator was moving. I have yet to address the P080 but I believe it to be a fan that's not working. not realizing the two (or three) may be related, I replaced the throttlebody, but this did not seem to be the fix. I had disconnected the 12 V battery in the meantime and after I reconnected it days later, there was a little bit more RPM change, even though the accelerator still did not work properly. I can only imagine that perhaps the ECU is intervening to prevent the throttle from opening because of the P080 issue. I cleared all the codes using a thinkcar scanner, but I don't really see a difference in the accelerator behavior as a result. my thought is that the throttle body is getting incorrect information from the ECU as a result of the P080. Does this make sense and does it appear I'm on the right track? Thank you!!  its outdated but the think car report to see exact model is

Clearing the code gets rid of the check engine light (until the car is driven again for about 10 minutes). It doesn't magically fix the problem that's actually causing the diagnostic fault.

Maybe you should address the issues described in the diagnostic report.

By the way for everyone reading the code isn't P080. It's:

P0A80 Replace Hybrid Battery Pack

(among others)

It appears P0A80 has to do with the hybrid battery not functioning properly. It could be due to damaged battery cells or the battery overheating.

You can try cleaning the air filter for the battery fan that blows cool air over the hybrid battery. Cleaning this filter is just as important as changing the engine oil on hybrid vehicles. If the filter becomes clogged and the battery overheats it will damage the battery.
