Advice on Chrysler longevity

Now, without any questions on why I have this car, I basically got it for almost nothing. I own a 2014 Chrysler 200 2.4L with the 4 speed transmission. It has 120k miles and I've had it for a few months and it still is in perfect shape. It doesn't burn oil, very relatively quiet engine I must say, and it has no lights on dash and yes they do work. No lag nor slippage on transmission. Basically it's been running like a clock since I've owned it. (Yes it does have original engine and transmission)

I've heard you said their new 10 speed ZF transmissions are horrendous and you also mentioned the 6 speed being loaded with problems but you never talked about the 4 speed. I'd like to know the comparison of the 4 speed with the rest.

Now, I'd like to keep this car for as long as possible. Changing transmission fluid with filter and changing coolant is already on my list to do this year. I already changed the spark plugs just to keep it up to date. Any advice on how to make it last as long as possible? I understand they're weaker built but I know there are still ways to make them last longer. I'd like to know advices on it. Thanks

Which 6speed are you referring to?

The 4speed is extinct and even Toyota does not use it in Corolla after 2012, but for some reason Chrysler decided to use. The good thing about 4speed transmission is their relative less complications.

Changing transmission fluid with filter

With that milage, you better inspect the fluid first and then make a decision. Check the FAQ for more details.

Keep up with regular maintenance and do not push the car hard.

All you can really do is keep up with maintenance and don't beat the heck out of it.

Although not a car most of us here would recommend, if you got it for nearly nothing it's a win just the same. However don't make the mistake of putting a lot of money into it when it starts falling apart.

Keep up with ALL your lubricants, ie, engine oil, trans fluid, coolant, brake fluid, PS fluid and differential oil and all body and suspension grease fittings.

Don't drive it. Seriously though keep up with all maintenance and baby it. Realize they have no value so when something super expensive pops up to fix the vehicle junk it.
