Hi Scotty. I have a 2011 Subaru Outback with 113K miles on it. In the past 12 months there has been 3 instances where I have lost brake pressure completely if braking while hitting a pothole. If I lift my foot off the brake when it happens, the brake pressure comes right back. The dealer can’t figure out the cause. I had the master cylinder replaced and a full brake job (front and rear pads and rotors). I’m told the brake lines are not leaking. It just happened again and only happens if braking while hitting a pothole. What could be the cause?

sounds like a problem with ABS or wheel speed sensors. Go to a better mechanic.
Maybe an internal valve, seal, leak in the ABS control module? Hitting the pothole triggers something inside with just the right conditions to cause the pedal to go to the floor.
