Hi Scotty!
Love your videos. My question (or request) is how to change a camshaft position sensor on a 1996 toyota 4runner. My 4runner has stalled once while I was driving thankfully it was when I was already at my apartment complex and I googled what could have been the problem and read it might be the camshaft position sensor. Not a lot (or any) videos on youtube that show how to fix and replace the sensor (specifically on the 97 4runner)and is wondering if you can make one showing how to do so on this model.
Thank you in advance for your time!
A single stall at low speed in a parking lot doesn't sound like a Camshaft Position Sensor.
It sounds more like a dirty/sticking IAC (Idle Air Control) valve or a dirty throttle body. Plenty of youtubes on how to clean both.
If you want to replace a sensor, let us know which engine your 4Runner has. They came with a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder.
