Car vibrates

Hello, My question is for 2011 honda crv AWD 199 kms , after changing front suspension strut and coil assembly and stabilizer link and front and rear rotors and brakes. My vehicle vibrates at an up hill at 55 to 60 mph. I return to the mechanic in a couple of days so he can check why its vibrates. He took for a spin just around the corner not the highway. Then he put the vehicle on the lift and put the car on drive and the driver side wheels front and rear spun in sync and the passenger front and rear didn't run in sync. Can it be possible something was not properly installed. The mechanic said the drive shaft needs to be replaced. It seems strange that one side of the vehicle wheels are spin perfectly and the other side is not.

Can it be the drive shaft or can it be possible something was not properly installed.

That is of course to be expected if you have open differentials.

So, does it means I need to replace the drive shaft or there was a wrong installation with the suspension or brakes ?

No, it means your vehicle has open differentials left to right. Perfectly normal. Your traction control system probably uses the brakes to control wheel slippage on the road.

Thank you, trying to figure out why is my car vibrates when driving in the highway after fixing suspension and brakes. I don't want to spend more money on drive shaft if it's not necessary.

I would check tires and wheels first, then suspension components. Always eliminate the simplest and least expensive items first.

it only did that because the wheels were off the ground. This of course doesn't happen when all the wheels are on the ground. Otherwise you would constantly be turning right.

I don't think you understood. There's nothing wrong. That's how it's supposed to be. All cars do will spin one wheel when they're off the ground (unless they have special features like limited slip axles).

a lot of things cause vibration. wheels, tires, axles, shafts ...

hopefully your mechanic knows what he's doing. Is he willing to put your old driveshaft back if this doesn't fix the issue?

If not then find a mechanic who has the knowledge and tools do it properly.

I haven't replaced the drive shaft yet. But he says it needs to be replaced.

well I hope he did his homework and he's not just guessing.

The issue is the vibration started after replacing the suspension and brakes. But know the mechanic says the drive shaft needs to be replaced as well.

well that sounds like nonsense to me. It obviously has to do with the work that was done. what suspension parts were replaced? It sounds like they're just trying to take your money. Go someplace else.

Yes. I will go back to the mechanic so he can go over it again, because I not convinced it's the drive shaft.

Front suspension strut and coil assembly, sway bar links and front and rear rotors and brakes.

I went back to that mechanic shop because that's were the work was done. They should be the one to to fix it correctly.
