2017 Hyundai Santa Fe automatic with 80,000 miles. "Engine replaced" by Hyundai Dealership 3 weeks ago due to oil consumption issues.
Today, at a stop light, the car slowly accelerated. The car also hesitated, jerked and intermittently surged. The check engine light immediately came on and intermittently turned off when she stopped.
The dealer said she needed to replace all of the fuel injectors for $800. They did not provide a trouble. They said it was one injector, but that all need to be replaced...
How do I know if it is the injector(s) or an issue with the "new engine."
Thank-you for your time.
well the odds of the injectors going out 3 weeks after they put another engine in is pretty astronomical they could easily be bsing you if they are trying to charge you money extra take it somewhere else and see what they say they're not trust dealers they're not the most honest people on the planet
I forgot to mention... My wife asked the dealership why the "new engine" is not under warranty. They told her they took the fuel injectors from the old engine and put them in the new engine... Aren't the injectors part of the engine?
