Dear Scotty,
I have a 2017 Honda Accord coupe, the last of the two-doors. I took it to the dealer for its regular oil change and they told me my brake system needed to be flushed...that the fluid was dirty.
The car only has 20,000 miles on it. I've had no brake issues, and I drive quite conservatively. I've had no reason to even open the reservoir.
Since brake systems are closed systems, I find it hard to believe the fluid is contaminated. Is the dealer fishing for more repairs?
Thanks in advance!

Have you taken a look at the fluid yourself to see if it is, in fact, dirty? That would be the easiest way to tell.
Honda generally recommends changing the brake fluid every 3 years.
It will certainly last a lot longer. I've changed the brake fluid on our CRV only 3 times in 20 years without issue.
