Hi Mr. Scotty ,
I have a 05 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 4.7 with 300,000 miles
and my timing is off, and it seems to be the only thing wrong with it , would it be wise for me to replace the timing or install a remanufactured engine?

At this mileage I can almost guarantee that your timing chain has stretched and the tensioner and guides are worn out. It needs to be replaced for the engine to run right.
