hey! I have a 2002 Ford f150 4.2 v6 that cranks but doesn't start. I replaced the fuel pump and the filter and still no start. I'm thinking about replacing the fuel regulator tomorrow but it's at the back of the engine on the fuel rail. it's very hard to get to and has lots of hoses and wires in the way. I'm no mechanic just learning from YouTube but what would be the best way to get to the regulator? thanks!
before spraying and praying parts at it, do a simple test to verify your theories rather than guessing. It's as simple as spraying starting fluid into the throttle body.
Hey I forgot to mention before the crank no start it would start but hesitated to start then run and drive if you let it sit a minute but as soon as I would shut it off and try to start it again it would just crank and not start.
Spray starter fluid in the air filter and then try to start the car.
