I have a 2002 Ford Taurus 145000 miles recently replaced front brake pads but tried to save a few bucks by reusing old rotors since it’s a second car. That was a mistake just made steering shake even worse since rotors obviously worn and warped. So now I plan to change rotors like I should’ve done to begin with. Is it possible to take off the whole caliper bracket and caliper together to slide on new rotor. Was wondering if it would slide on new rotor without having to take out pads and use a clamp on caliper again.

how? the new rotor will be thicker than the old one
No, the calipers are already sized for the rotor it was on. You need to re-press in the calipers. Don't cut corners and risk your life because you were too lazy to do it the right way. It's a simple task that should take no more than 15 minutes. They're brakes, and the single most important thing in your car.
