Hello, I’m looking for some good starter tools for basic maintenance. What are some good tools to get? I already have a floor jack and stands and a torque wrench and a very small ratchet wrench kit. I’m also getting an oil pan, oil filter wrench and also a breaker bar.

a very small ratchet wrench kit

you don't want "very small".

I saw this smokin deal the other day. It's a very complete set in a nice case. Polished chrome (I hate the matte finish they put on everything now. You can't clean it). Under $100!

You also want a large adjustable wrench (15-18"), good quality vice grips, assorted pliers and snips, a powerful propane/MAPP torch, penetrating lube, brake cleaner, a digital multimeter with assorted test probe kit. Pickup magnet, telescopic mirror. various wire brushes, wire wheels etc for cleaning/de-rusting/stripping paint. An angle grinder is super helpful, mini sledge hammer, pry bars. Make sure you have the necessary sockets/wrenches/allen sockets to do you axle nuts, lug nuts, and brake caliper bolts. Air compressor or inflator. Gasket scraper. Magnetic work light. Various funnels and jugs. Hose clamps and assorted hoses/tubes.  A pulley/bearing/harmonic balancer puller is a very handy. cardboard or plywood to lie on. I'll stop there.

And of course a good OBD tool.

oil filter wrench

if you need a wrench for your oil filter then it's too tight. It should come off with your hand.

The 4 "must haves" for diagnosing a Crank/No Start and a No Crank/No Start.

HEI Spark Tester. Fuel Pressure Gauge. LED Test Light. Digital Multimeter.
