Using OW-30 will not hurt your engine. Honda made your car, and Honda recommends using 0W-30.

Someone at that dealership chose to use 5w-40, not Honda.

Right, I mean is it okay to put in something different every time... And I did it!!! Thank you so much for helping me overcome this! I started the car and there wasn't even an oil pressure light... (I filled the filter before installing it) And in the meantime there was no leakage. Tomorrow I will check the oil and start driving 🙂 I just have a question according to the table in the book I had to fill in 3.7 and I did but it reached 1/4 of the gauge... makes sense? And I didn't understand what it was in the total book...

If I use 0w-30 now, won't it cause damage?

why would it cause damage?

I don't know, I heard that it is not good to change the viscosity of engine oil every time

t it reached 1/4 of the gauge... makes sense?

not exactly. A photo would be better. You mean the oil level was 1/4 of the way up the hatched area?

Like this ...

The answer for you is always the same ... read. the. book.

Bottom line: the oil has to show the correct level on the dipstick when you're done (when parked on level ground).

I'm sure the checking procedure is also explained in the manual.

So I'll just add some oil thanks

@imperator

The vehicle eats oil, about 2 mm on the dipstick after 500 km
Sounds a bit much doesn't it?
