Honda Civic AC only on passengers side

Scotty got a 2016 Honda Civic LX used with 40,000 miles on it. I bought it from a Honda Dealer with 24,000 miles on it for $13,777. The previous owner was a 3 year lease. The AC blows sort of cool air on passenger side and on the passenger's side blows pretty much just a fan, no ac at all. I'm a huge fan of fixing things myself, Is this a do it yourself kind of deal? I do not own a reverse scale or any tools for this matter. Should I leave this one to the professionals?

@soaresproductions
2016-2018 Honda civic may have a loss of cooling due to a/c condenser leaks. Honda issued an extended warranty for these for 10 years after the initial vehicle registration date and no mileage limit. This is for first owners and subsequent owners as long as it's not a total or salvage title. I would contact American Honda about this to make sure your VIN number is covered. It should be. Recall: (888) 234-2138 OR General Inquiries: (800) 999-1009. You could also call your local Honda dealer and ask them to check for you. Good Luck from a fellow Honda owner (2017 Honda Civic Si)

You have a loss of Refrigerant. Only half of the Evaporator is cooling and this is why one side of the car is sorta cool and the other side is not. You may have a Condenser leak as soaresproductions pointed out but if this extra warranty is for the first owner only I'd say your out of luck there since you said you bought the car used. To fix it yourself the proper way you need to remove all the refrigerant, charge the system to the proper weight, and perform a leak test. DO NOT USE ANYTHING BUT PURE R-134A REFRIGERANT. 2 things belong in your A/C System. The Proper Amount of R-134A Refrigerant and The Proper Amount and Type of Refrigerant Oil. No Stop Leak, Refrigerant Conditioner, A/C Pro, or any other crap the parts store might try to sell you.
