Infiniti as reliable as nissan?

I know Nissans are pretty reliable, my grandmother has had her 2010 maxima since brand new and has never had any issues. She uses it as a daily driver and drives 40 mins to and from work. she has racked up 175k miles and it still runs strong. Would the infiniti g35 or g37 be capable of doing the same?

Infinity is a glorified Nissan. Just like Lexus is to a Toyota. If it was well cared for and properly maintained and checks out with an inspection by independent mechanic. It's all pot luck, it might be a good one or it could be a POS.

They can be alright until around 130-150k miles, but after that they fall apart. I wouldn't recommend one.

I would say that they are better made than the Nissans since most of them are made in Japan. Just take care of them and do all the usual maintenance and they can last. however, if you buy one that someone ragged the heck out of it, walk away because it will cost a lot to fix, but nice ones can last.

I have an fx35. 2003. 146k. It's low miles for the year, but given the miles, this car runs freaking great. Minor repairs, easy fixes, not a lot. Very dependable..I bought it for 2k cause it was offered to me, I didn't even want an infiniti but needed a car. I love this freaking thing. I'm so glad I did. Plus, Corona upped its value to 6500!!!! Jackpot
