Hello. I have a 2003 Mazda Protégé that cranks but does not start. My question.....
I hear a sound that what seems to be my fuel pump priming however I hear it after trying to start the car. It is not when I turn the key in the on position but after turning the over to start it.
Is this normal for a Protégé?
This car was my daughter's. It shut down on her while driving it. I have changed the fuel pump and fuses. i changed spark plugs and coul pack ( probably didn't need to do this). I look at the car is getting a tune-up while repairing.
I saw your video to check for spark tomorrow.
I plan on checking the timing belt also.
I am familiar with cars but dont have much knowledge on a lot. I am a Grandma with a hobby willing to learn and try.
Thanks for your time.

Well normally they'll do that. Not run until you're cranking them. Yeah try all the stuff in my video. Fixing the car that cranks but doesn't start up
