[Solved] Is mild tire cracking normal after two years?

I put Nokian WRG4 tires on my 2015 Subaru crosstrek 2 years ago and there is already cracking at the side of the tread.  The tires were less than a year old when mounted, and I have put 20k (>60% HWY) on them in Chicago. I park in the garage over night. The cracking is mild but I’m not sure if it should be addressed, especially because my kids ride in the car.  I’ve attached a photo (hopefully it works) to show where the cracking is.  it looks like a seam, but it separates with pressure  any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the photo link but couldn’t find how to paste a picture in the text box.

Looking at the photo in your dropbox link that does not look like mild cracking, it looks like that tire is going to come apart at the seams. What is the date code on those tires?

Date code 0620. Had them mounted first week of February 2021. Would your suggestion be replace ASAP?

I don't know how they got that way in less than 3 years but the tread area looks like it's dry-rotting. See what others here have to say but I wouldn't want to drive around on those.

those looks pretty rough. I would make a warranty claim.

Yeah, I’ve had made in Japan Toyo's look much worse after 2 years.

You can try a warranty claim as @mmj suggested, but like in my case, the manufacturer just claimed ‘wear and tear’ from atmospheric conditions and washed their hands off.

Instructions for photos are in an obscure topic at the top of the Notices section, with the title READ THIS FIRST - Forum Guide.

Thank you.
