My 2010 Buick Lucerne has a warning that the lane warning system is not operating. This is the second time in 10 years and the first time it was fixed by the dealer for $600. I noticed when looking at Autel scanner info that the system can be reset. Have you seen this problem before? I have learned to live with the warning message (that I can temporarily erase), but would like to have the system operating IF I can get it fixed at a reasonable price.
you need that to tell you to stay in your lane?
save yourself the $600 and be more careful
just my two cents
Wow! that's a lot of money.
I understand about the help, I'm 71 and know what you're talking about.
Time to start looking where you are going, like over your shoulder. Just a thought.
I need all the help I can get to keep driving at my age. Just need to know if the Autel can reset the code to permanently erase the repair message. I will also check to see if I can find one of the circuit board repair places to check if they do repairs - usually board repair is $100 to $150 if I send it to them. circuitboardmedic.ge A new board is $450 and I'm not interested in spending that kind of money.
Unfortunately, electronic nannies are a nightmare to diagnose & fix.
Like the others have said, it’s safer (and cheaper) to just use good judgment when you’re out, driving.
Scotty recently made a video showing why not to trust your life with lane departure warning systems. Watch from 05:00 -
