Let older car warm up before driving?

I have a 2003 v6 Toyota Solara with 170,000 miles.  Running well except for very loud and high idle at startup until warm.  Let it warm up?   Anything I can do?

High idle (1800-2000rpm) is fairly typical on a cold, fuel injected engine.  I know everybody will disagree with me but I don't drive or put any load on any vehicle I own until it reaches normal, operating temperature.  Bring it!

Do you mean weight or reving the engine over 3000 rpm?

I don't understand your question.  What does weight have to do with anything?

His question sounds straightforward to me. He's asking you to define "load" practically.

I know that warming up can be more harm than good, but

Neither do I, I always let my cars warm up before I begin driving. 🙂

I guess that by load, the meaning is how hard you press on the gas.

It's the weight of waiting.

I just in general let my cars warm up before starting to drive; I'm not in a rush so it won't hurt letting it warm up a bit. Older cars I go by time and newer ones some of them have a small light that turns off when the engine warms up enough.
