Hello Scotty,
I recently purchased a 1992 Lexus ES 300 with 144k on the clock in BC Canada, drove it across -30c all across to Toronto.
Everything went great, however the Toyota dealership during oil change said the below.
Car drives fine, on cold morning I get a small grind noise which disappears when engine is relatively hot after 5mins.
I check the oil level every week and find nothing off.
Please help!
Washed engine bay thoroughly, investigated after vechile sat overnight engine pan and engine oil sensor leaking. Parts are obsolete thorugh our ordering channels.
Additionally, replace 4 cylinder IRIDIUM spark plugs
There's a Lexus group that discusses this generation's grinding noise. Go there:

First you want to have it checked out by a mechanic that isn't the dealership. If it really needs the parts your best bet is to see if you can find used parts.
