[Solved] Lexus low beam light not working!!

Hi Scotty,
I recently bought a 2008 Lexus IS250 from a used dealership. I love the car it runs great I paid $9000 for it at 71k miles. After hunting for months I think it was an amazing deal for what I got in today's market. I am having one issue I can't move past though. My right side low beam headlight is out. I thought it was just a bulb and since I was planning on buying new aftermarket headlight assemblies anyway I didn't bother changing it. After installing the new headlights the problem persists. So now I know it's not the bulb and it's not the male connector that comes from the headlight assembly itself because the problem persists with both the old and a brand new headlight assembly. The car has rear-ended someone before I bought it which I knew about, and it's easy to tell that someone has done some work on the car. I am currently thinking that it could be the female connector/pigtail that comes from the car itself and connects to the headlight or the wiring that runs back from that connector to the car. I wanted to ask you if I'm on the right track before I ordered the part because the pigtail itself without wires is $129. Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks for all you do!

  • Well if the other headlight works just get the power from that wire and splice it in to the power on the side that doesn't work I do that all the time funworks just powered with the same power that powers the other one

Wouldn't that just cause less voltage to drop at the bulbs causing the lights to be dimmer?
Also, all the other lights work on that right assembly, so that means we know it's also not a fuse right?

connect in parallel, not series

Ok thank you! I'll give it a shot tomorrow and update yall here!
