Scotty, I currently have a 2009 Sienna, but my next van will be a 2020 sienna AWD.
my driveway is so steep that we almost always scrape the van.
Would putting a 3 inch lift kit on a sienna awd be a problem?
I also live in minnesota, so it would help with snow too I think.
please don’t be mad at me truck people.... just trying to solve a problem without “having” to buy a truck:)
Is there even such as a thing as Sienna lift kit and is it worth it?

Scotty has a video illustrating the problems that lifting a vehicle and modifying the suspension cause.
What do you plan to do? Insert stiffer suspension?
I don’t see why not. People lift Subarus and other crossovers all the time and I would think the geometry would be similar.
2 things: I doubt you will find a specific kit, so you will have to find something close and then have the necessary parts fabricated ($$). Also, more than an inch or 2 and you are asking for trouble; the angles change too much and parts start to wear and break. 3 inches is probably not a good idea.
There are lift kits available. If I felt I must have a lifted Sienna I would find someone that knows what they are doing to install the kit. I would also find out what that lift kit does to any warranty and if I would mind giving away warranty help.
Then I would go buy a vehicle better suited for the job. Or I would fix that damned driveway.
If you do lift it, just lift it enough to clear up the driveway problem. I don't think 3 inches would be a good idea and will probably be overkill. If you only 'almost always' scrape the van, that 1 inch might just be enough to change that to never. And, just make sure of exactly what is scraping to make sure the lift would actually fix the issue.
Scotty, I live in Minnesota we get lots of snow, and I also have a very steep driveway (that can’t be changed).
Because of these things my next vehicle will be an AWD Toyota Sienna. It might sound like a joke, but I assure you it’s not. I want to put a lift kit on it so it sits about 3-4 inches higher up for the reasons I said.
What do you recommend is the best way to do this? (I’m not looking for a BIG lift kit, that would look stupid, just 3-4 inches)

I forgot I asked this question before! Sorry. How can I delete it ?
please delete it for me.
Already merged into one thread.
It does not seem duplicated to me. 3 months ago he asked if lifting Sienna is OK.
Now he asks what kit to use.
it should still be together
That’s fine, my bad,
but the whole “or you will be banned” thing seems over the top. I mean this is a car Q and A forum..... lol
Every single forum on the internet has a list of rules, and consequences if they're not followed. Only troublemakers get banned. You don't look like a troublemaker to me.
I don’t know enough about cars to be a trouble maker!! Haha.
I can barely change my own oil......
I have 2 toddlers, I’m rocking a minivan, but it keep scrapping on my steep driveway..... that’s the only trouble I create, skid marks on my car, and in my kids pants cause we are potty training! Haha. I’ll try not to ask duplicate questions again. Consider my hands slapped ! :):)
There are limits to what your suspension can do. You are changing the angles of the control arm joints, the axle joints, and the steering. I think 4 inches is way too much. The most you can hope for, without spending thousands of dollars, and without negatively affecting the driving characteristics, and safety, is 1 inch. Maybe 2.
Sienna is a front wheel drive van. I will assume you have coil spring suspension in the front. The easiest way to get some height will be longer springs. Have you tried searching the web for kits?
What kind of suspension do you have in the rear?
I have a front wheel drive 2009 limited right now.... I guess I was thinking I would try to “lift” my next van which will be a 2020 AWD.... but now that you mention it, if “lifting” a couple inches would be as simple as putting on a certain type of springs, maybe I can have my car guy do that for me ASAP. But to answer your questions joe, I’m not sure what my 2009 has for suspension on the front and back, nor am I sure I would be able to tell you? All I know how to do is go to work and change diapers... lol. I’m not much of a gear head. That’s why I’m on this forum, to learn ! What do you suggest other than longer springs? What’s the longest I could put on do you think ?
I don't know because I've never owned a Sienna, let along lifted one. I doubt many people have.
The only way this is happening, is if you find a kit on the internet. But maybe this is a better question for your guy.
