Hey everyone,
I’m looking at purchasing a 2015 Subaru Forester with the 2.5L engine and Lineartronic CVT for $16,500 with 47k miles. I know Scotty would recommend something like a CR-V or RAV4, but I prefer having AWD and the safety of a Subaru. With the price of used cars going up would this be a decent buy?

I would stay away from Subaru’s with used CVT’s until we see how well they’re gonna do. Some of their earlier ones are dying off around 100k miles. Personally if I had a choice I would get a crostrek with a manual.

If you have some decent computer or have someone that can check the CVT and engine go for it. If it is in excellent shape price is high but ok. If it is even a little worn dont buy it.
