Hey Scotty, looking into the 2022 Lexus NX 450h plus (plug in hybrid) looking for some direction to take the leap or not. Will be my first ever hybrid vehicle. Was driving a 2015 Wrangler. Looking for something smoother & better gas mileage.
If your mind is set on buying a hybrid, buy a brand new Toyota (or Lexus) hybrid.
If you only hold onto your vehicles <10 yrs, you shouldn’t have to worry about any major maintenance costs with the hybrid system.
If you plan to keep it for 10-20 yrs, just buy a regular petrol vehicle.
All the best!
I would never ever buy a brand new car because you can normally get used cars for far cheaper. I get wanting a Lexus or anything else after owning a Jeep but why a hybrid? Those things are so expensive to repair when they get older. Scotty's said the exact same thing for years too. And look you want a big heavy SUV your not going to get good gas mileage or battery range. BUT If you can find someone fool hardy enough to swap your Jeep for a Lexus or Toyota then do it because fuel economy is going to be the least of your problems if you own a Jeep.
Buy a Tesla!, You get 2 free fire extinguishers with it! {pear}:surprised:
