Hey Scotty! New member here, love your videos man!!
Looking to buy a used 3/4t crewcab 4x4 diesel pickup to get into some light hot shotting. I know I should be considering a dually, but want to just pull single trailers for the moment and step up from there if it all goes well. What the heck does a guy buy now these days!?! I absolutely love my 04' 3/4t 8.1 Silverado. but she likes the taste of gas way to much for long hauls.
What should I buy Scotty? No brand preference, need not be fancy, just needs run and run with little to no issues other than obvious routine maintenance.
Thanks in advance!
Dave
Get a Ram. Sometimes they break down, but they're OK. And they can haul a lot. Lots of guys on the oil rigs use them.
Cummins makes good diesel engines. Only problem is they come wrapped in a Ram.
None of the Big 3 diesels are impressive to me, particularly at their respective price points.
