Manual 2015 Civic LX stutter.

  1. Here is a group of people having pretty much the same problem I am. My car has about 150,000 miles on it and runs well other than the stutter around 3000 RPMs., most noticeable in 2nd gear with medium + acceleration. With my normal driving, I may shift before that or with less pedal and everything’s fine.  (It’s not while shifting.). It is slightly noticeable in other gears, but second gear is the stand out issue.
My car is a 2015 Honda Civic LX  with a 5 speed manual transmission. I think it has probably done this since I got it at 120,000 miles, but I didn’t notice it as much and probably attributed it to me adjusting to driving a manual transmission again. I appreciate you posting this issue. Let me know what kind of responses you get.

What if you drive up a very long, moderately steep grade and "feather" the accelerator at that sweet spot and see if you get a different result.  Maybe a clue, I hope.

Feather = to maintain and hold the position at the point where the issue exists.

Get up to speed, open up the throttle - does it slip? (rpm separates from speed) or just shake?

Does the shaking increase or decrease at 4k / 5k?
