Scotty,

I've learned more about cars from you in one year than in my previous 60 years. Here's my question - I use Mechanic-in-a-Bottle and Ethanol Shield in my small 2 and 4 stroke engines and it seems to work.

I'm sure you've encounterd these products before and am wondering if they are applicable to cars and trucks.

I'm thinking of getting my gas tank down to about three gallons and use them.

What can you tell me?

My car is a 2002 Honda Civic with only 78,000 miles. I haven't gone to the Honda dealer for service since the warranty expired. Fortunately, I found a very honest and up-to-date mechanic who worked on Hondas and Toyotas at dealerships for 12 years. He watches you on youtube as well.

Thanks for all you do. You've saved millions for car and truck owners in buying and repairing vehicles.

All the best,

Chapel

It certainly won't hurt.  But may be better to stick with one more focused for modern auto engines.

Gumout all-in-one.  Chevron Teckron, etc.

Scotty has mentioned "PEA" as a good additive to clean fuel systems and clogged injectors.
