Hey Scotty, I've been looking around for a used car and I really have been considering the 2012 E class. I've done some research and it has been said they are really reliable and overall great cars. Just want to know your opinion. Thank you

They're reliably going to burn up your finances if you're not ready for it.

High cost of ownership is a red x in this one. Also, note the serveyer, JD Power and Associates. It's one of those pay to play advertising gimmicks. I can't tell you how many commercials I saw for the Chevy Cruze, "ranked highest in initial quality" by JD Power and Associates. What the heck is that? Clearly it meant nothing, the Cruze is out of production and had many infamous problems. If that's their definition of "highest initial quality", run away.

That's a 10 year old German vehicle with plastic galore under the hood. Not to mention a technical monstrosity. It'll be a nightmare when anything goes wrong.

Scotty uses that car on his Endless Money Pit merchandise. There's reason for it.

If you want luxury that won't break the bank, get a Lexus sedan. It will way outlast that Mercedes.

What are your sources? I don't think anyone who's got dirt on their hands and fixes cars for a living would say this. Atleast not as a daily commuter car.
