hi i have a 2004 honda accord lx 4 cylinder. has about 120,000 miles and is automatic. so i just got my front struts, front sway link bars and front control arms changed, about 4 days ago. for the first 2 days everything was ok. but now for the past 3 days i hear a rattling sound but it seems to be coming from the drive belt or specifically in that area. now the mechanic said i still need spark plugs, and fluids refilled, im assuming that i should do a flush. but i was wondering with these suspension fixes could that have caused this sound? it came out of nowhere. when i came from the shop they said my drive belt was good. pretty reputable place too. so im just trying to figure out was it the suspension work that made this sound or did the belt just happen to go bad that quick even though they said it was good or could it be something else? please help...
2004 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder. This happens only sometimes. It'll sound like this a little after I start and drive for a little then it will go away. I have that same sound when I press on the gas peddle when this happens at least it sounds like it.
your video is sideways
Please don’t double post, thanks.
Sorry for the double post. And I don't know why it came out sideways.
I was just wondering why is my steering so tight. I had my mechanic use the vacuum to suck all the power steering fluid out and I put new fluid in and it's still very tight. Is there a reason why it's so tight?
Make, model, year, mileage? It could be your power steering pump is on the way out and not producing enough pressure. Your mechanic should be able to test this.

No they were fixed
I have a 2004 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder. I posted the link for the picture of what Firestone said I needed. I googled the rack & pinion leak and I was told two different things, that it's safe to drive and should last a while and then also seen it's not safe, so my question is how safe is it to drive with a leaking rack & pinion? It just started the clicking sound about a month ago. So any chance you guys know the safety of this and also maybe you can check out the link to the paper and give some advice on if that's too expensive to fix and what not. Thank you guys in advance, I appreciate y'all. Goodnight
Hello I have a 2004 honda accord lx 4 cylinder. I was told maybe a month or a little longer back that I need to replace the rack and pinion. Does anyone know of a good website and a good brand that reliable? I just never know about ordering online cause there are so many different sites. And do I need to purchase the boots separately or do they come attached. Already?
I have a 2004 honda accord ex with about 122 thousand miles(but was told its actually almost 300,000). Guess the guy I bout it from a yr and a half ago did something to it. But I was wondering what this sound is when I turn the wheel. I don't think it does it right as I turn the car on but probably after a minute or 2.
I hope this link works. I tried a different website this. But this sound is coming from around the water pump/serpentine belt. I think it was making this noise before and It turned out to be the water pump. But I'm not if it was the same sound I kind of forget.
2004 Honda Accord ex 4 cylinder. Has about 300,000 and its automatic.
And also a code came up p1009 vtc advanced malfunction
Did you check the FAQ before posting?
No sorry. Maybe I should have
I'm only asking because I can't call the mechanic today because the shop is closed. I have a 04 Honda Accord LX. So when I took my car to the shop he said I barely had any power steering fluid so he refilled it and the wheel was turning very better for the next or or 2. But now it's bad to be hard to turn the wheel. Is it possible the power steering fluid already leaked out, like is this a power steering leak problem or is it possible it's something else?
If there is a puddle under the car, it's leaking out, probably from a hose.
Is it possible the power steering fluid already leaked out
Yes. Easy enough to check the fluid level and add if low. See if the problem goes away after topping up.

Ok so I made this short video. Phone kept falling but i didn't need a long video anyway to ask this question. So this has only happened 2 or 3 times since I had this car. But when I turn all the way to right or left the steering wheel kinda stutters I guess you can say and I notice this sound. Now the power steering hose is where the noise is coming from(update, sorry, not sure it's the power steering hose). But it's the hose that's right above the serpentine belt. and I notice the hose moves as well when I turn all the way right or left. When I'm parked and do it I noticed I can barely turn my wheel. It's not a problem when I'm driving only when I'm parked or turning really slow. But could I just need a new power steering hose. Like is there air inside the hose? Hope someone can help me and sorry the video was short. Also real quick. My left tire seems to have a short leak. I usually have to put air in it like 1-2 times a month. Would this be something associated with the noise when the tire loses air?
