Hello, I am wondering so I have a 2017 toyota camry that I had got a dented oil pan on. had the shop replaces it, they usually do really good work but this time I wasn't happy with them it leaks from the one side I used some jb weld and that fixed some of it but still leaking ( not terrible though) should I bring it back in to that shop it's only been 3,500 miles since they did it so I think they would fix it for free do you guys think so?? Thanks for the advice
I used some jb weld
that won't work
should I bring it back in to that shop
Of course. Maybe all it needs is a little tightening
I think they would fix it for free do you guys think so?
Of course. You paid them to fix the pan. The pan isn't fixed.
UNLESS ... something new is leaking
Well if it was one of these chain shops I wouldn't be surprised even a single bit about them having messed up and damaged something while changing the oil pan. It's 3500 miles since it happened so I'm not optimistic you can get them to fix anything for free right now as they'll try to blame you for it. But definitely have it inspected by a trusted good independent mechanic and then get it fixed.
they are very honest I am pretty sure they will own up to leaking oil pan I hope
So if this is the case then I'm not sure what the point and question of your post was?! Because you were asking if folks here think they should fix it for free, but I guess you already have your answer.
No it is a very reputable shop that replace it I have brought many different vechiles to get fixed there and they are very honest I am pretty sure they will own up to leaking oil pan I hope
