Scotty, I recently got in a wreck and now have to buy a different car. Is there anything wrong with buying an older Honda Civic with 2 or 300,000 miles as my daily beater car? What should I check for? Thanks

I'm in the same scenario as you. I bought a 93 Honda Accord with 370*** miles on it. My advice is what I'm doing rn. Replace that timing belt unless you don't care if the engine blows up when it goes, if that belt snaps your gonna need engine repairs. Check obvious leaks, with that much mileage check your valve cover gaskets for leaks as they have a tendency to leak oil into the spark plugs from what I've seen. Also you might wanna get those valves adjusted as Hondas need them to be adjusted every 60,000 miles or so. This is what I'm doing rn to just get it running right, you said it's a beater car so if you really don't care just check the timing belt. If that goes your car is gone.
