Hello,

I am tracing using an AUTEL MaxAP200C a reocurring P0301 and P0305. The engine has 285,000+ miles.  New sparkplugs and ingition coils (OEM) have been installed. On cold mornings (below 50F in the garage), the VTM light indicates a sparkplug mismatch, then the check engine light comes on. The AUTEL MaxAP200C shows just P0305 at the present. This makes it cylinder 5. Before 1 and 5, now the error is just 5. I have two new OEM O2 sensors ready to replace if necessary but, just 1 cylinder is giving this error.

Hello,

Thank you for the continuation. The problem is resolved. The Coils, SparkPlugs, Airfilter, oil, and transmission oil were serviced with new. It was non-Japanese Honda parts which caused the problems.

Try changing your PCV valve.  They get stuck a little open sometimes and do that

Misfire. Check spark and fuel pressure.

Hello,

Spark plugs are replaced. I tried KAX O2 senors. What a joke. I bought NTK and rated for the 2006 Pilot (so were the KAX per Amazon, Wrong). The error codes are gone.

Try switching the location new spark and coils. If the problem moves or doesn’t move, at least you will have some info.

Check and listen to the fuel injectors if it’s only individual cylinders and that’s if the misfire doesn’t follow a specific ignition coil or spark plug
