Hey Scotty please help me. I have two questions I have a clean titled 2012 toyota sienna le 4 cylinder, odometer reads 130,000 mi. I bought the van 1 year ago from a private seller for $7,000. When driving at highway speeds only, me and my passengers feel vibration when i accelerate. But when I let off the throttle it runs smooth. Rotors, pads and tires are about 6 months old and an alignment was done too. Again as soon as I let off the throttle she drives smooth as butter. Second question after I bought the sienna I took it to the dmv to register it, the registration says " not actual miles". Dmv couldn't give me an answer why. How does something like that happen?
IMO, it's probably has a salvage title. It could be a bad CV ball joint or the tire balance shop didn't do the alignment correctly.
It's something in the suspension. Normally transmission shudder is felt when shifting. Ball joints, tie rod ends, or it could be a wheel bearing. My guess is a bad rear wheel bearing. We had brand new tires on my wife lexus rx 350 suv. Got a horrible shudder at highway speed that stopped when you backed off. It was a bad rear wheel bearing. They are sealed and have to be replaced. My Toyota truck developed the same issue. Rear wheel bearing again. That's my vote.
