Pulling to the left and slight bounce

Hey Scotty,

I have an 07 Dodge Ram 1500 ST automatic with around 172k miles, bought it 3 years ago with 120k. I only drive it as a back up vehicle, or to haul things, so it's not technically my daily driver. But when I do drive it, sometimes it's 100 miles a day. Anyway...

My truck has a pretty good pull to the left at all speeds, and has a slight vibration on the driver side when traveling at 65-70mph and going around curves (most notable when traveling on I-40 going towards Knoxville and manipulating those curves). It's not the excessive vibration and shaking like others have experienced, just a noticeable vibration on the driver side only. Also there is a slight bounce when going under 45mph. Had the rear tires replaced a couple of years ago. I took it to the shop about a year later and they resurfaced the rotors and rotated the tires. They took it on a test drive and didn't notice the vibration. When I did a test drive with the mechanic, a still noticed it, but not as much. All tires are at 33 psi with great tread and no obvious rubbing spots. Truck brakes well with no spongy feeling.

What say you?

I would have them take a closer look at the ball joints and u-joints. They can cause a similar problem

Hi R4nier,
I forgot to add that the truck is a quad cab.
I dropped the driveshaft and checked all three u-joints. U-joints were moving good with no resistance, no leaking around the differential pinion seal. I did change out the front u-joint but couldn't get the driveshaft back in myself, so I had a mobile mechanic come out to help me, and he said joints and seal were good.

Is the alignment good?
