Radiator sealer to fix cracked block?

Hi.
I am working on a 1957 ford 640 tractor. The block was allowed to freeze and crack years ago. Somebody welded up the crack before I got it. It has a coolant leak in one spotunder the weld. Kind of a weep...no spurt. There does not appear to be any water in the oil or the exhaust.
Hear is the question: Which radiator sealer is best for my application.

I am fine with removing the coolant and thermostat if needed. Flushing out all the antifreeze is no problem. My only concern with the sodium silicate sealer is the temperature. I'm not confident the engine will reach105°c (221°f) at the leak point.

The coolant system is very clean, so i can use the other stuff straight away.

My only concern is which method has the best chance of success.

So...which sealer do you recommend.

Thank you in advance,

Scott Crowner

I really wouldn't count on any "sealer" product to fix that problem. They are temporary bandaids in the best of circumstances. If you want that thing to run any length of time it would be much better to have the leak, assuming it's due to cracking, welded if possible. There are also methods such as "stitching" that may be successful.
