noise at 1900 rpm

Hello, I have a 2005 Honda CR-V(automatic) with 185,000 miles on it. It has a good maintenance record, but ever since I bought it (5k miles ago), it has a noise I can best describe as a loud resonance that happens when my car is at 1900 rpm. Through research I believe the technical way to describe this situation is "light throttle, under load". This noise only occurs at 1900 rpm, while driving, and is not influenced heavily by speed, however today I did notice it seemed a bit more prominent at around 40 mph. I can feather the throttle and keep it around 1900, which will cause the noise to get louder, eventually leveling off, but not really going away.

I am reaching out to this form because I need advice on how to go about diagnosing this issue. Is there a list of tests I can perform to help narrow it down?

I'm happy to provide additional information/audio if that would help!

Thank you!

"resonance" is a very vague description for a sound. Whistles resonate. Drums resonate. Pianos resonate. Anything that vibrates can resonate.

You'll need to be more specific or post a video please.

Apologies for the late response, I did not get a notification of your post! I took some audio equipment in the car and got this recording, and I also took a video, but the video doesn't capture it as clearly as the audio does.

I would recommend headphones, and the noise is heard around 20, 25, and 30 seconds(for the audio file).

Well often that's a transmission problem, but to figure it out watch my video finding the source of car noises. Scotty on YouTube
