Hey Scotty! I've been following you on YouTube for quite some time now. I had recently bought a Toyota Corolla that had a couple of issues that I cannot get anyone to fix and I would love to have some feedback on that from you, if that'd be possible please.
The car's details are as follows: Toyota Corolla Altis 2013 Cruisetronic. Comes with a 1.6L 4 cylinder engine coupled with a SuperECT 4-speed automatic transmission. So basically, I live in Lahore, Pakistan so I cannot bring my car to you but the issues I am facing are as follows: 1. When I start the car, the car automatically revs up to around 2000 rpm and then the rpm drops back. Wanted to know if that's something to worry about. 2. The RPM does not stay stable for much time; I tried getting the throttle cleaned out and the mass air inflow sensor cleaned too but it still randomly idles at various RPMs ranging from 600 to 900. Dunno what I need to do to stabilize it. 3. The car I got had the AC compressor replaced with a one that comes with Honda. Its a clutch based compressor, they tell me, which is different than the electronic one that originally comes with this particular make and model. So when I turn the AC on, the car revs automatically around 400-500 RPM. For example, if it was at idle on 700 RPM before, it'd spike to 1200-1300 RPM each time the compressor trips and turns back on. I don't know if replacing the original compressor is the only way to go but what I need to change other parts related to the air conditioning, perhaps? Sorry about the long questions, but I'd super appreciate it if you could educate me on these issues. Thanks your all your effort and fantastic content you roll out regularly, its all super helpful!
I would say replaced in the compressor with the original style is the only thing that's going to fix that
