Sudden loss of compression on 3 of 4 cylinders.

I own a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a 2.4L I4 Engine. Has about 124,000 miles on it.

One day I went to start it and it wouldn't fire. The engine was spinning but no ignition. I had it towed to a shop and paid for a diagnosis. They told me that cylinder 1, 2, and 4 had 60 PSI compression or less. Cylinder 3 had 120 compression.

What could cause a sudden compression loss overnight? It worked fine and sat for about a day and a half and its throwing this to me.

I want to try and fix it instead of junking it because I've invested a a good amount into it. New timing belt and pulleys, New tires, New battery, and New front wheel bearing (mostly done at a shop).

It could be a failed head gasket

If you’re attached to the car, and if it has major engine damage, start looking for a good used engine.

You also need to keep in mind that the next item on the list will be the transmission, so think again if you really want to start throwing more good money after bad, into this car.

Sudden compression loss could be rings or valves.  Was the compression test done dry and wet?

I am unsure if it was done Dry or Wet. I took it into a Midas.

Big mistake. Take it/tow it to a real mechanic for evaluation.

Absolutely.

Yeah I trusted them to put a timing belt in it too. I'm more than sure it was their f*ckup for that car suddenly losing compression. Never going there again. I got rid of the car, it had other issues starting in the cold and I was not interested in putting even more money into it than I had to. I went and picked up a used ranger. I wanted a truck anyways.
