Suzuki: experiences, reliability, and obtainability

Has anyone owned or worked on Suzuki’s?  They don’t sell them anymore in the US. But I am curious how the quality, engine, and transmission hold up.

Suppose one were to buy a used one, is it serviceable with parts at a reasonable price? Or are parts hard to find?  Is it a joy or a pleasure to work on them?

I have owned used Suzukis and I have found the quality, durability, and reliability to be actually really good. The reason Suzuki cars never really caught on in North America a combination of them being a latecomer in North America, poor marketing, and focusing their efforts on sueing Consumer Reports. Overall I have had good luck with them. Parts are harder to find now that they have pulled out but overall I usually don't have too hard a time finding Suzuki parts in the Aftermarket.

The u.s models were pretty awful which is why they went bankrupt here. The parts are not the easiest to go and majority of them from Suzuki are discontinued. Ally of people will say you can get parts from Chevy among other manufacturers cause most of there cars were poorly made spin-offs and such but that’s a lot of hassle. I would advise against them at least in the us they are a dead breed with no value

You can be sure the quality is awful and the parts are near impossible to find.
