1987 Suzuki Samurai using a quart of oil every 100 miles

Scotty, I bought an '87 Samurai a couple years ago because I wanted one and, apparently lack impulse control. It has the factory 1.3 with a 5-speed, is basically stock and has 135K miles. It does NOT smoke when I start it. It does NOT leak oil. It DOES use a quart of oil every 100 miles. It DOES randomly smoke like a chimney. It DOES lose oil out the exhaust. What's going on?!?

Thanks, PoochyCor

Your engine is flat worn out.

Do a wet vs. dry compression test. You will likely find your piston rings are worn out. Worn valve guides and seals can also contribute to the problem.
