Hi Scotty,  You  have awesome advice.  I am a former  owner and restorer  of old Corvette Sting Ray's from 1966  and 1967 as well as a 1972 Corvette Stingray. I am also presently a Judge with the N.C.R.S., (National Corvette Restorers  Society). I am currently on my 8th VW Lease. Presently a 2021 VW Jetta. When my lease ends, I am considering a new Toyota Camry or Corolla. Either a Purchase or Lease. Maybe a Honda Civic Sedan or Hatchback, or Accord. I only drive Automatic Transmission Vehicles due to health reason's.  Which  Vehicle has a better 4 Cylinder Engine, which  has very little maintenance. I prefer not to have a Turbocharged Engine.

Thanks and regards,  Lane

For 4 cylinder engines, my preference is for Honda. With 6 cylinder engines, my preferences is for Toyota. I’ll happily OEM and use either, just a silly preference I have.

With that said, if you are looking for non-turbo, your best bet would be either of the Toyota’s as they have more non-turbo options.

The only non-turbo option that Honda has these days, to my knowledge, is their hybrid version.

Thank you Kaizen.

From the models the OP is interested in Honda actually has two trims of their 2022 Civic with non-turbo and not hybrid. And definitely other cars too with non-turbo but those aren't models the OP is asking about (but not hybrid).

Are you serious? That would put the Civic at the top of my list too. Which trims?

@lane-katz: My personal number one choices would be the Civic LX and the Sport based on this new info from@fjcruiser2014.

Naturally Aspirated 2.0.

I would prefer Camry or Corolla. Test drive both and decide what you prefer. On the other hand, Honda makes good cars but in terms of longevity and low maintenance, Toyota is better.
