is a 2002 toyota sequoia with 142,000 miles a good deal for $3400?
I never see Toyotas go for that low. Check with the mechanic before you buy it. There might be problems with it which cause the owner to ask for a low price.
Those are very well made SUVs. If a mechanic says it is in good mechanical shape, go ahead and buy it. The price is under market, so there might be problems or the seller might just not know what their car is worth. If you don't know a good mechanic, check out the How to find a good mechanic/mechanic referals page in the FAQ.
When looking to buy a car and during the inspection, its recommended to do research on common problems. In this case, the most significant common problem with the 2002 Toyota Sequoia is transmission failure. Make sure to have the transmission checked out.
Here is a good playlist on how to check out and buy a used car, of course you would want the mechanical inspection before buying.
Good luck!
