I am thinking of selling my 1999 Toyota Solara. It has 78,180 miles. It drives well but occasionally it will not start. I already put a brand new starter, a new battery and I was told by a mechanic that the starter was in good shape, but it keeps having the same problem. I am not sure if it is because it is more than 20 years old. My question is if I should sell it or fix it and keep it? If I keep it do you think it could last another 5 years?
If it’s a simple wiring/electrical issue like a bad relay or loose wiring, you’ll regret selling such a low mileage vehicle.

If nothing serious is wrong with it, it’ll probably last another 10-15yrs. They don’t build them like they used to..
Good luck!
I agree with the previous comment by InTrustWeTrust. Find a mechanic with diagnostic skills. They'll pull up a wiring diagram, and test, from the fuse to the ground and power wires, to find the relay or wire that is bad. It could be as simple as a bad fuse, you know.
