Toyota Venza 2011 2.7L Burns oil

Hello,

I have a 2011 2.7L 4 cylinders Toyota Venza with 140,000km (87,000Miles) on clock. The car had a check engine when it had 128000km and the code was cylinder 2 misfire. The code was shortly gone. It started to burn oil since and now it burns around quarter litter/1000KM. The car has no leak and the exhaust smoke smells strong.

Any advise please?

Well start by doing a wet and dry compassion test of the engine or pay a mechanic to do that. Then see if there is internal wear on the engine. Pray it's not that cuz in the engine don't have to be rebuilt. If not that it could be a leaking injector spraying too much fuel which will make it burn oil or a bad PCV though

I think that is the generation that the Camry/Venza was known to burn oil. Hopefully it is something else, like Scotty suggested.
