I am looking for a good used car. I have looked at the spark and the Hyundai accent.any info is appreciated

Accent's are: Decent. If you are fine with the cheap interior quality then the engine and transmission could go 120k miles but after that it's worthless pile of junk only if low miles it can be OK I have a Kia Sportage interior is cheap but egine and transmission very reliable at 130k miles this is an older one the newer Accent's 2010+ have GDI and stuff. Honda Fit is your best bet

Do not even consider that junky Accent. Listen to @hillbilly and stick to Toyota & Honda.

Get it checked out by a good mechanic, before you buy it.

If in NA, I'd look at Toyota's first over the brands you mentioned.  Otherwise...ymmv.

And note sigy ;  )

I have sold many used Hyundai's over the years.  Customers seemed happy with them as long as they had low mileage. The Accent is too small for me.  If I was buying a small used car, I would get a Corolla over a Accent hands down.

Do look at Honda Fit - 2009 and newer: … especially those still with regular automatic, … or better still, manual. Just make sure that whatever you find, … and like, have it first throughly checked by independent mechanic, … and skip any that was modified in any way.

Agreed with the Honda or Toyota.

On the cheaper but reliable end, Corolla, Civic, CH-R, HR-V, Fit, and a pre-2013 Yaris.  But really, almost any Honda or Toyota.

You should do some research and go to site: carcomplaints.com in order to check the cars that you want to avoid or buy. I am not affiliated in any way to carcomplaints.

I’d go for a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, or Honda Fit instead of those junky Hyundais and Chevys. Yea you’ll probably pay twice as much for a Honda or Toyota but over time, you’ll spend less than half the money on repairs and maintenance to keep them running
