No..it's not made for that. If you want to clean the throttle body get throttle body cleaner.

Thanks

CRC states that it's Throttle Body and Air Intake Cleaner is formulated to clean gums, varnishes and carbon build-up from the throttle body and air intake on fuel injected vehicles whereas their Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner is formulated to clean contaminants such as oil, air filter fibers, dust and pollen from the MAF sensor without leaving a surface residue and without causing harm to the sensor itself, and is safe to use on plastics such as the MAF sensor housing. So they are two different cleaners each with a specific purpose.

You may be able to safely use a MAF sensor cleaner on a throttle body but it may not clean as effectively or thoroughly.

It's meant to leave no residue at all, so it's overkill for a throttle body. There's nothing wrong with doing so, I've done it. Your wallet will dislike you. You get not even half as much MAF sensor cleaner as you do throttle body cleaner and probably costs twice as much.

how much? I see they cost $11 for a 12oz can (MAF is 11oz)

I used half cans for like $17.

well finally something is cheaper up here!
Looks like CRC is a Canadian company.

Yep, lol. When I was working with Plating, CRC made brake cleaner too.

I say go for it. Throttle bodies are metal there's no harm.
