Vauxhall/Opel Meriva A runs rough

Hiya Scotty (or anyone really who knows how these ones work, I’m a Nissan gal myself), I hope you can help with this troublesome issue or any advice on this - I am driving a 04 plate, 1.6 16V easytronic Vauxhall Meriva A model (ZE16XE engine) at 85478 miles and a bit of a conundrum being so far from home

So two weeks ago (after getting this car last minute and no faults came up driving it for a week) I made the arduous journey from the UK all the way to Poland to meet up with my partner before our final move - however, during the trip I had to strangely fill the oil twice - once in Germany and once between my final destination to Poland making me think by default I had a PCV valve stuck open. Problem is looking at the engine, there seems to be no PCV valve or rather stuck into the cover.

I got to Poland with my load of possessions and it had been sat for a week and only two days ago we finally managed to unload it, but when I started it, not only was there blue smoke and the rich scent of oil, but it idled rough and died after about three seconds of running. I attempted to switch the engine on again and I let it run for 15-20 minutes and the amber engine light was on

After multiple attempts manually trying to get codes out of it due to no OBD2 machine, I finally got two codes out of it; P0302 (2nd cylinder misfire) and P1700 (box issue). The car since multiple startups as lessened it’s rough idling so, I’m at a loss of what to do, or what could be causing these issues from what I initially thought by logic would be a PCV valve is turning to a bit of a troublesome time.

would you recommend me trying to look at the air filter of the Meriva as well as possibly putting it in for a gearbox service (or do you have any idea how I could do the easytronic box service by myself?)

if there is any advice, because I really need to be able to get myself and my partner to Sweden safely and with this engine light on currently, I’d like to get this sorted as soon as possible! Thank you in advance!

@youngmech
it might be a little late but I read your dilemma on the foreign cars the PCV's are bolted into the intake manifold by design like my Honda which is bolted check on the dealer sight as well they might have an owners sight to help you as well I just joined I hope this helps
