2003 VW GTI Vr6 vvt phantom codes

I have a 2003 VW gti vr6, motor has 120k, having codes p0304 and p1472. These codes seem to be phantoms since I replaced both cam sensors, crank sensor, and did the timing chains. Before chains it had an intermittent p0011 code. Its has much lower performance at certian rpm. Im thinking cam phasers or VVT Solenoid but unsure. Thanks scotty!

Man you've found out first hand why Scotty doesn't like VW's. I'm not sure what you'd need to change at this point because the codes are for several things and you said they're intermittent I really think your better off getting rid of this car and getting something else because even if you fix this phantom issue lord knows what'll go wrong next. Scotty says that VW's are really bad about electrical issues as they get older and that sounds like your problem and it's honestly going to take more work than the cars worth and even then you're sitting on a bomb waiting for the next thing to fail.

Agree with Jackson, cut loses and get newer/better replacement.  With that said, from reading your post I'm lost as why a misfire and a smog pump code got you to replace those parts?  I'd looked at coil cyl 4 and evap pump check first.

edit: nvm, my misunderstanding on sequence.  Check #4 injector too ;  )
