Hey Scotty,
There have been thousands of people converting full-sized vans to camper vans lately. The options in the US are the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, and Ram ProMaster. From a mechanic's point of view which of these would you recommend for reliability and cost of maintenance?
Cheers!

Don't forget the passenger/cargo van fiberglass tops. A friend of mine just did a great job on a GM Passenger van and spent less than that of my other friends buying the Mercedes vans and converting them. We looked at parts availability and cost for repairs. The conversion van market was crazy before COVID and I am sure it will return. They were turning these vans (Mercedes, Dodge, GM) around for quite a profit. The fibertop was around two grand, there are a handful of companies making them. Long story short, consider them as well.
Depends on your budget, but forget the Dodge.
