| 1998 Buick century p1441 code (90000 miles) | 11Relevance | 1 year ago | WoodSniper | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I’ve got a troublesome purge valve for my Buick and it likes to flick on and off rapidly. I just replaced it and it throws a p1441 code whenever I plug it back in and drive it for a while (I keep it unplugged). I’ve also checked the evap lines and didn’t get anything. Any ideas? | |||||

| (90000 miles) My Buick has a small vacuum leak somewhere towards the firewall. I have checked all vacuum hoses and made sure everything isn’t split and is sealed. I can hear a moderate sucking sound or air being blasted out a small hole at my guess is 10-20 psi. | |||||

| Answer to: Should I buy a 2007 Buick? | 11Relevance | 1 year ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Buying an 18-year-old Buick is not the greatest idea. Yes the 3.8 is a very good engine but there is a lot more to a car than just the engine. Maybe if it was half the price and a mechanic said it was currently OK before purchase it might be worth the risk. | |||||
| Answer to: 87 Buick Electra Park Avenue o2 sensor | 11Relevance | 8 months ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Instructions for pictures and much more can be found in the topic pinned near the top of the main page with the title "READ THIS FIRST - Forum Guide". You can't necessarily expect to find the exact same part as the one that was manufactured 35 years ago. If it fits you might as well try it. If it doesn't work take it back to Autozone and tell them "it doesn't work". You might try a repair manual for that car, such as the one below: | |||||

| I’ve got a 87 Buick Electra Park Avenue 3800 V6. Automatic with 168,00miles mainly hwy. So I’m having trouble finding a o2 sensor for my car. The one I bought is longer & not the same width it’s skinnier than the one that I took out. Is it ok to put the one I bought in? The one I took out said AC SPARK PLUG, I don’t think it’s ever been changed b4 cuz that’s an old brand. I also can’t find spark plug wires for my car cuz there also the wrong size. Mine are 3 at 42in & 3 at 22in. 3 in front of engine & 3 in back of engine by firewall. I’m having t ... | |||||

| Hey all, We’re considering a 2007 Buick Lucerne with 114,000 miles for $4,250. It has the 3.8L V6, which I know has a good reputation, but my dad only buys Toyota/Lexus vehicles, so I’m facing some skepticism about adding an American car to the mix. Do you think these cars would have too many electrical issues and weak transmissions at this age? Would it be wiser to spend the extra few thousand and pay the Toyota tax? I’d definitely have my mechanic inspect it before making a decision. I appreciate any thoughts you have. | |||||

| I Have a 1987 Buick Electra T-type 3.8, Automatic Transmission with 66,000 original miles on it. It doesn't like to start without using starting fluid it will just crank like it's not getting fuel, once I spray it with starting fluid it will start and run ok, but it will idle high at 2000 rpms. I've already replaced the idle air control valve and manually adjusting the idle to try to fix the high idle but no luck, and I can't figure out why it won't start without me spraying it first but will still run ok, do you think these problems are related? what else s ... | |||||

| Hey Scotty, my name is Dustin. I've been watching your videos on YouTube for quite a while now and I've gotten great advice from multiple of your videos. I was reaching out because I had a question. I have bought a 2011 Buick Regal a few months ago with about 122k miles. I had it taken in due to a engine noise and was told it was a 'camshaft sensor' further inspection indicated the timing chain, pistons etc. I was quoted $3900 for the repair. I paid $6500 for the vehicle. Is it worth fixing? Is this a common reoccurring issue with these Buicks? please any ad ... | |||||
