| Answer to: 2013 Lexus RX 350 or 2018 Acura RDX? | 30Relevance | 5 years ago | nldwilliams | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Dion, Thank you for that feedback and for sharing your experience with your cars. That helps! We looked at a 450h a few years back and almost got one but decided to fix our raggedy Buick instead. Time to cut our losses on the Buick. I'd love to get a 450h. There are not as many of them out there for sale. The ones I see are 10 years old with over 100,000 miles on them. Still look amazing though! Going car shopping today! Scotty says this week is a great time to buy. 🙂 | |||||

| Hi Scotty - I have a Lexus (2017) 450h with ~40K miles and I am thinking of trading it with cash for a Lexus (2018) LC500H. Although very different cars, i am wondering if on long-term basis the LC500H is as good as the 450h (let's call it 200K+ mileage) providing the car is well maintained of course. I would be very interested in your thoughts. Thank you! Vincent | |||||

| There is no such thing as "lifetime trans fluids". See the FAQ for details. | |||||

| Questions surrounding Lexus on lifetime trans fluids. Discussions related to partial drain and fill for high miles (100k+), especially if previous owners have not serviced the transmission. I've heard all recommendations: drain and fill, flush and fill, partial drain and fill (30% to 50%) periodically and do not do anything. Thoughts? | |||||

| The engine could be damaged because the real interval that any good mechanic would tell you for oil and filter changes is 5,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. | |||||
| Should I buy this used RX 450h? | 16Relevance | 1 year ago | teelias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I was in the process of buying a used Lexus RX450h with a V-6 engine. I checked the service records and the oil changes were done at 12000 miles and 26000 miles. It has 29,000 miles. Could the engine be damaged because the first oil change was 2000 miles over the recommended interval (10,000 miles) and the second oil change was 4000 miles over the recommended interval? | |||||

| The RX350 is the smarter choice here. It seems barely used! Not to knock the RX450h, but it is rare to find a RX350 with such low mileage over that many years. | |||||

| This car was maintained at the lexus dealership where it was purchased new, and owner trade in for a newer model. It has all maintenance history from the dealership | |||||

| Oh, go for the gas-only RX350. Be sure to have a trusted mechanic check it out before you buy. 22,000 miles over 7 years is not much, so hopefully the seller is not hiding something. But a good mechanic with a thorough inspection will be able to tell you. | |||||

| The Cross Climate snow performance is the real deal, but yeah, noise is a slight problem (though not as bad as you think). Theyre all 3 good tires. I’d probably get the Continentals. But they’re all good. | |||||

| Unless it’s really low mileage, avoid buying used hybrids as repairs can get expensive, as they start to age. You may be better off buying (or leasing) a brand new hybrid Lexus, instead. | |||||

| This is why I tell people not to buy high-tech V8 hybrid Lexus. Yeah they got all that fact the house you bought it can easily cause 4K to fix one of those brake systems when they go bad they have regenerative braking they have master cylinder assembly that cost thousands of dollars you basically brought the wrong car. You're either going to have to pay a mechanic who has all the fancy equipment and the ability to use it to work on that brake system or you going to be driving a dangerous car. If you don't want to spend the money my advice sell it | |||||

| Do not buy it. The hybrid system can go out in any time at this mileage and you need to pay thousands of dollars to repair it. | |||||
